Gone with the wind: soy

Ever since I´ve read a bunch of nasty articles about milk products being bad and unhealthy, I found refuge in the delicious soy products that replace regular milk and yoghurt. This was driving some people around me slightly insane, because regular yoghurt and milk could be found at my house no more. I started enjoying the slightly sweetish flavour of the soy products and in my head I had turned the idea of consuming soy into the ultimate feel-good thing to do. I know, it sounds weird. But it´s crazy what you can believe in when you convince yourself that it is right. So, last night I had a little look around on the internet casually browsing like I do, when I came accross this terrifying article: Health Foods to Avoid. Only 3 foods are mentioned. About one I know they are absolutely right  in advising to avoid it (agave syrup, vegan hype but no good for you whatsoever!). What I read about soy was completely new to me though. I used to be so happy that vitamine D is added in soy products, now I know that is because eating soy makes your body require more of vitamine D. So you don´t get any extra in at all! I am so dissapointed in marketing of soy where they make it sound all good for you, and it´s all just a big lie. I cannot believe I have been paying the higher price for soy products  thinking it is all worth it! To all you soy lovers out there: read the above mentioned article and decide for yourself!
