WHERE I COME FROM, milkshakes weren’t readily available at cafes – and even if a cafe had them on offer, they would taste a bit artificial, like banana powder has been added instead of real banana.
BUT, I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF MY DAD making proper, from-scratch banana milkshakes for us in the summers. Those memories are probably the cause of my permanent nostalgic love for this milky goodness. In this recipe, almond milk works just as well as regular milk, so I leave you with both options – you can choose which you like better.
Serves 2. Prep time: 1 minute.
Almond milk, homemade or store-bought, or organic cow milk, 500ml
Cinnamon, 1 teaspoon
Honey or sugar, 1 tablespoon
PUT ALL IN BLENDER AND blend for 10 seconds. Done! Serve chilled, with a slice of banana on the edge of the glass, and/or an ice cube or two.
IMAGINE HOW MUCH OF A GOOD TIME you could have with these when iniviting your friends over in the weekend! Let the good food bring you together and enjoy your healthy drink!
